It would seem when the pressure is on, South Africa can come up with the goods after all. Following their dismal defeat at the hands of the Bangladesh minnows, South Africa bounced back to beat the host nation West Indies by a fairly convincing 67 runs. AB DeVilliers finally brought something to the plate, smashing a brilliant 146 runs. Kallis joined the party with a well deserved 81 and South Africa managed the rather imposing score 356, leaving the West Indies with a difficult job from the get go.
Nice work Proteas! But this all said, I have to say Australia is still my pick to take the trophy this year. They are looking unshakable at the moment.
Manchester United 7 – AS Roma 1. Nuff said.
What a scintillating victory. I haven’t watched soccer for quite some time, but I could hardly pass up last nights game on eTV. 7 goals! What a score fest. Kudos to Fergusons men for a job extremely well done. I haven’t seen Manchester United put forward such a brilliant performance in ages!
(I’m going to ignore the crowd violence that occurred, simply not to take anything away from their win)
