I always thought that iron was supposed to be strong. You know, strong as iron, iron-willed, iron fist monkey and even the Incredible Iron Man. And yet, one simple little fall from about a metre high, and it breaks.
How is this possible?
My super duper Toledo 2000 steam iron (yes, the fairly brand new one I bought just a couple of months ago) turned out not to be as strong as its namesake in the end.
Just the slightest of bumps on my rather rickety ironing board sent it plunging to its imminent doom, resulting in a cracked water tank and rendering the thing pretty much a glorified paperweight.
*sigh* And December month is the absolutely best month to unecessarily waste money of course…
