Their signature fluorescent pink jersey has always been bad enough (though full marks for standing out from the crowd) and last season’s light brown with turquoise stripes and pink flowers was certainly a bit of an eyesore, but this season’s jersey of the ALWAYS trendy Stade Francais rugby club in Paris must surely take the cake.
The multi-colour jersey depicts the face of Parisienne 13th-century heroine Blanche de Castille, the wife of Louis VIII, and the Andy Warhol-like design is under the colourful ownership of the always slightly eccentric Max Guazzini,
Yup, not so much chic as sick if you ask me! Though at least you can’t now accuse rugby players of never taking in some fine art! :)
