Cosplay Sundae: Honey Kisaragi (Cutie Honey) Cosplay 02 AUG 2009

Francesca Dani Kisaragi Honey Cosplay
Cutie Honey is something of a cult Japanese franchise, created by famed horror-meister Go Nagai way back in 1973 already, and which has since spanned numerous manga series, two animated TV series, two OVA series, two drama CDs and two live action adaptations. In retrospect the original premise was a bit of a tongue-in-cheek magical girl series, centering around the outwardly ordinary girl Honey Kisaragi who happens to be able to transform into the busy red- or pink-haired heroine Cutie Honey to battle the assorted villains who threaten her or her world.

Now Italian-born Francesda Dani is something of an Internet legend, the original cosplay queen and net idol who has been doing this cosplay gig for years already, famous for running her own pay-to-view cosplay site and pretty much being recognised as one of the most popular cosplayers on the web. Thus, with all that said and done, it’s no wonder that she pulls off such a great Cutie Honey impersonation after all.

Guess there’s only one thing left to say then: Honey Flash! :P
