So this Tuesday evening past Chantelle and I decided to skip going to the movies after all. Why you might ask? Well remember I mentioned previously that Gordon’s Bay had lost its water supply from early Sunday straight through to late Monday evening thanks to a burst water main? Well the impact this had on the household was horrendous – apart from Chantelle stealing our fridge-chilled water to fill the cistern so that we at least could flush, the worst impacted by this sudden lack of wet stuff was without a doubt our kitchen – as you can see from the pictures below.
Dishes literally piled up, starting with Saturday’s dishes (hey, who does dishes on a Saturday?) and then extending all the way through to Monday’s load, this is what our poor kitchen slowly became.
So in all fairness, it was the best decision to stay at home and try and tackle this pile (after my swim and supper of course) – though when I say we I mean me as Chantelle was already mysteriously passed out on the couch just as Flash Forward began… :P
No space left in the kitchen, the trail starts in the lounge already...
...moving on to the food preparation counter, it only got worse...
...to the counter space next to the basin!
Never mind the area next to the basin itself! O.O
Sigh, our mothers would be so ashamed of us…
