What, who, where am I?!?
Craig Lotter is a web developer based in Gordon's Bay, South Africa, who seems completely incapable of shaking off that pesky inner child within, the one that forces him to love all things animated or hand drawn.
The Rugged Rock of Craig contains snippets of his life, popular culture and all the important things like anime, manga, games and comic books. The CodeUnit of Craig on the other hand contains the more serious stuff like code snippets and tutorials, while the House of C chronicles his foray into the world of web comics.
For which it never seems he has enough time anyway.

Covered: Beautiful Killer #1 (Adam Hughes)

In 2002 writer Jimmy Palmiotti and artist Phil Noto unleashed the three part Beautiful Killer story upon the unsuspecting public, via Wizard’s short-lived comics foray, Black Bull Comics. It tells the story of one Brigit Cole, the albino daughter of two renowned, world class top secret agents, who both withdrew from public life to rear Brigit in complete isolation on a secluded island.

Covered: The Books of Magic #25 (Chris Bachalo)

Chris Bachalo remains one of my favourite artists, thanks to his hauntingly beautiful and shadowed work, all of which is wonderfully brooding and stylized, but not so much that it becomes too distorted and unrecognisable. Continue reading

My Opinion Download… All-Star Superman

More of a thinking man’s movie than a kid’s knuckle buster superhero yarn, it tells the tale of a Superman whose cells have been over saturated with the sun’s energy, increasing his powers and intellect tenfold but at the same time poisoning him and radically shortening his lifespan. Continue reading

Issue 8 of the 1996 Tales of the Witchblade series, which sought to free the storytellers to tell the tales of the Witchblade gauntlet throughout the ages in different settings and with different wielders, tells the second part of the “Raquel” story arc, written by Bill O’Neil and Michael Turner.
