This video post kind of slipped through the cracks, but I’ve found it now and so it is up on the World Wide Interwebs for, well the world to see! :P
One of the things Jessica seems to love doing when bathing is move all of the bath toys out of the bath and into the hand basin, which she can just reach if she stands up in the bath. Of course, now she is a lot more sturdy on her legs than what she used to be, making this a far less risky behaviour than right in the beginning!
You’ll note the rather off putting colour of the bath water in this one. For a short time, Chantelle experimented with letting Jessica bath in tea water – essentially tossing a handful of tea bags in the bath water. Of course, this did result in a rather strangely coloured bath experience, and funnily enough, on this particular evening when this was shot, one of the teabags had broken open, resulting in far more dubious looking bath water than what one would normally get! :)
As for whether or not the tea actually worked… well the verdict is still out on that one.
Jessica absolutely loves her bath time, and it certainly is never a mission to get her to agree to being dunked into the water, though this time around it would seem she took a gastronomic fancy to the sponge letters which litter her bath! :)
Now that young Jessica has mastered “The Roll” as well as “The Worm Crawl”, she is seemingly pretty eager to kick it up a notch and aim for even greater things – like “The Pull-up and Stand” for example!
Without fail, each and every time you place her in the bath she makes a straight beeline for the taps, where she’ll try and grab hold of them and then hoist herself up into a standing position. Of course, the one and only time we decide to film it she has difficulty in getting herself up, but nothing that a helping Daddy hand couldn’t solve for the sake of our insatiable viewers.
Cute doesn’t even begin to describe our little dribble monster who now sports four teeth, two at the bottom and two at the top!
The best toothy grins ever I tell you!! :)
Anyway, here is the footage Chantelle managed to snag last night of this particular Jessie feat:
It’s too cute for words. Not only has our little dribble monster become to big for her bath booster chair that she now gets to sit on her own in the baby bath and happily splash water everywhere, she’s also taken to mimicking Mommy – with hilarious results (and spittle) flying out all over the place! :)
And just in case you want to see what I mean when I referred to our new bath regime, here’s the pics to prove it!
Bath time is a rather soapy affair for little Jessica and mommy Chantelle – while Daddy stays firmly stuck in the wings, trying to get as much info into his thick skull so that he can handle the job next time around!
