And Then I was 30

And then I was 30. So last Tuesday, the 11th of May, saw me end off my time in the twenties and enter the age of the thirties and following the awesome surprise long weekend away to the Drakensberg courtesy of a sneaky Chantelle, this was probably the best process of aging one more year that I've had the pleasure of enjoying in absolute ages.

Moo, Braai and Chill

It turned out to be quite the sociable and relaxed weekend this time around, with Chantelle and I kicking Friday off by heading out to Bellville after work in order to visit with Mom and the rest of the family in celebration of mom's 53rd birthday.

SingStar Strikes!

So like I mentioned ages ago already, we had invited all the friends over on the Saturday evening preceding Chantelle's birthday for a bring and braai in celebration of C's upcoming 29th birthday, and as per usual, it quickly degenerated into yet another night of SingStar battling as Terrance and Trish once again had their way and managed to convince us (or should that be twist our arms) into hauling out the microphones and letting them loose on the poor, unsuspecting public!

Weekend in Review: Birthday Bash

Actually, the past weekend ended up being a pretty good one. While Chantelle was being introduced to the world of Twilight courtesy of Andri and Tygervalley (Oh my God, she's come back a 'Twihard') on Friday night, I entertained myself by fiddling around with the blogs, watching anime and playing some Yakuza back home, in other words granting me the perfect opportunity to sneak in some KFC for supper for a change.

Just wanted to wish the love of my life, my wife, my everything a happy, happy 29th birthday! Chantelle, I'm sorry I can't make it quite as memorable as last year's one, what with the proposal and all that, but I'm sure we'll think of something! ;)
