Street Fighter II Cosplay: Cammy White (Umi Kani) Cosplay 11 DEC 2013

Chilean cosplayer Umi Kani (known in real life to her mother as Katherine Ramos) puts together a striking cosplay of the second playable female character to ever to grace the Street Fighter franchise to life, none other than the Brit fighting officer, Cammy White!

First appearing in Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers back in 1993, Cammy White became an instant bit hit with the fans, though she wasn’t destined to quite appear in all the subsequent titles from that point onwards. Originally a teen agent of the fictional Delta Red task force within Britain’s MI6, Cammy was written in as suffering from memory loss, making her fit in quite nicely as a member of the villainous M. Bison’s group for a start, until the writers needed something else from her in the future.

A slim girl with a scar on her cheek and a penchant for thong leotards, Cammy is a close range fighter who relies on speed and agility to penetrate her enemies’ defenses.

Skyla appears in Pokémon Black and White as the Gym Leader of Mistralton City’s Gym. This Gym is the sixth to be challenged by the player. Trainers who defeat Skyla will receive the Jet Badge, along with TM62 (Acrobatics). She has a passion for flying and owns an entire airport. Her grandfather is said to be a legendary pilot.

She first appears in Mistralton as the player arrives in the town. There she is speaking with Cedric Juniper about using her plane to fly to a faraway region. Before battling the player, she says that she saw an injured Pokémon atop Celestial Tower to the north and that she must help it. After the player talks to her and rings the bell at the top of the tower, she heads back to the Gym. She also reappears at N’s Castle where she and the other Unova Gym Leaders hold off the Seven Sages. In the summer, she visits Cynthia at Undella Town, as do the other female Gym Leaders and Elite Four members.

Skyla is good friends with fellow Gym Leader Elesa. Between the events of Black and White and Black 2 and White 2, Elesa confided in her about changing her image.

In Black 2 and White 2, Skyla returns as a Gym Leader. The TM Skyla gives out remains the same. She aids the player and Professor Juniper in reaching Lentimas Town in order to access Opelucid City, due to the collapse of Twist Mountain. She flys her plane with them on board. After this, she is not seen again for the rest of the game, except in the Pokémon World Tournament.

Bible Black Cosplay: Kurumi Imari (Umi Kani) Cosplay 14 APR 2013

The notorious Bible Black hentai franchise is not one known for receiving many cosplay attempts, but Chilean cosplayer Katherine Ramos, aka Umi Kani, decided not to shy away and instead bring to life the unfortunate Kurumi Imari, one of the many victims coming out of this twisted tale.

Bible Black is an eroge PC video game developed by ActiveSoft and published on July 14, 2000. Sei Shoujo is the original creator of the games artwork, character design and penned the original script for the game.

The game takes place in a high school rumored to have been the base of operations for a coven twelve years prior to the premier installment. This “Witchcraft Club” practised black magic in a storage room deep within the basement of the institute. Both teachers and students practice an occult religion involving incantations. Sex, horror imagery and human sacrifice are common at the school and in the game.

The sweet and innocent Kurumi Imari was a childhood friend of Taki Minase. At some point, she developed a crush on him and in high school, she became his partner in Art Club. She first saw Minase’s magical powers when he cast a charm to help Murai gain the attention of a boy she was after. However, her major role in the story is that she is eventually targeted by evil Kitami, who needs a virgin to complete her diabolical plans.

Ikki Tousen Cosplay: Hakufu Sonsaku (Umi Kani) Cosplay 17 MAR 2013

Chilean cosplayer Katherine Ramos, aka Umi Kani, puts on her fighting gloves and dumbs down a little, to bring to life the protagonist of Yuji Shiozaki’s Ikki Tousen (known as Battle Vixens in the West) – Hakufu Sonsaku!

Hakufu Sonsaku is the protagonist of Battle Vixens, also known by its original Japanese title of Ikki Tousen. A second-year transfer student at Nanyo, she is not terribly bright, but is immeasurably powerful despite being only a D-ranked fighter. Because of her busty physique and high skill, she is known by others as the Busty Fighter, and is also known by her predecessor’s title, the Sho Haou, due to her fate of conquering all of the rival schools. Hakufu cares little for the politics involved between the fighters, only caring about fighting for the sake of fighting, but is staunchly against unnecessary violence and killing. Lately, however, with trouble brewing all around her, she is beginning to take up the mantle of a leader to protect her friends and family.

Hakufu’s anime incarnation portrays her as a low ranked and low skilled fighter, and has demonstrated none of her unique fighting gifts or chi powers and is arguably more stupid. In addition to her stupidity, she is more prone to doing dumber things, and either doesn’t mind or is unaware of people harassing or hitting on her. She relies heavily on her dragon or her personal skill alone, and even when possessed by her dragon, she is easily stopped by the other main characters she fights before any damage can be dealt, as opposed to her manga counterpart which is extremely difficult to stop and required the aid of artifacts. She also does not inherit Master Chosho’s chi magic (who does not exist in the anime); instead, she undergoes training with Ukitsu’s master Chokou. She is possessed by Totaku at the end of the first season but is saved by her dragon who devours him.

Bleach Cosplay: Orihime Inoue (Umi Kani) Cosplay 24 JUL 2012

Chilean cosplayer Umi Kani (known in real life to her mother as Katherine Ramos) puts together a beautiful cosplay of one of Tite Kubo’s premier female characters from the pages of Bleach, namely the lovely Orihime Inoue.

Orihime Inoue is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Bleach created by Tite Kubo. She is a classmate and friend of Ichigo Kurosaki, the main character of the series. Like many other friends of Ichigo, she quickly develops spiritual powers of her own after Ichigo becomes a Soul Reaper. Through the series, Orihime learns about Ichigo’s duties as a Soul Reaper and decides to accompany him when he goes to Soul Society to save Rukia Kuchiki.

Besides the manga and anime series, Orihime has also appeared in other media from Bleach including video games and animated films. Orihime’s character has been highly popular between readers of the manga since her introduction, having ranked high in all of the characters popularity polls of the series. Additionally, various pieces of merchandising have been developed based on her appearance such as figurines and key chains. Publications from manga, anime and other media have also commented on her character with most praising her traits and development in Bleach.

In terms of personality, the busty Orihime is friendly, humorous, sensitive, and kind. She comes off as naïve and rather clueless, which is at odds with her exceptionally high marks in school. She has a tendency to rush into situations without thinking, sometimes leading to embarrassing or even dangerous consequences. She also tends to have an overactive imagination and gets carried away thinking of implausible scenarios, such as initially fantasizing a date with Ichigo, later ending into her becoming a boxing champion prior to being shot.

Her hair is worn long in honor of the promise Tatsuki Arisawa once made to protect her.
