Oupa and Jessica planted Beans! Jessica 18 MAY 2015

I forgot to mention that a fair couple of weeks ago, Jessica was in for a right treat when Monty prepared a bed of soil for her and tasked her with planting her very own green bean garden patch.

Of course, the actual planting was quite stressful for oupa Monty as he continuously reminded Jessica not to push the seeds down too deep, not to cover them with so much soil, not to press on them so much, not to give them so much water, etc.

Nevertheless, each and every little bean was planted, patted and watered, and two weeks later I brought the girls back so that Jessica could inspect her gardening project.

Thankfully, the beans had all sprouted and were standing quite proud and tall – exactly what a little blonde princess might have been expecting!

Emily on the other hand couldn’t be bothered with the whole bean planting exercise. She was more than happy to continue being swung in Monty’s fun makeshift milk crate swing!

So with beans now mastered, I wonder what gardening project is up next from Oupa and Ouma Montgomery? ;)

Jessica back to Full Health Jessica 04 JUN 2011

Yay! So the doctor confirmed yesterday on the check-up visit that the antibiotics seems to have done the trick. The ear, nose and throat infections have all receded, the various swellings are down, her chest is open again – in other words Jessie is back to full health again!

The only minor side affects that we are still dealing with is a nasty little nappy rash brought on by the antibiotics messing with her pH balance (shame, she definitely has her mommy’s sensitive skin), as well as a slightly discoloured tongue due to her vitamins reacting with the antibiotics.

But other than that, all is A-OK, bringing the Lotter household back to 100% seeing as Chantelle is also back to normal.

Of course, I’m sure it is only a matter of time before it’s my turn :(

Anyway, we’re now in the final month of looking after Jessica at home before she gets accepted into the daycare centre, and at this point we really do have to mention just how much of a godsend Chantelle’s parents have been in terms of helping us out here, because without them I simply don’t know what we would have done.
