I finally finished Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams on Sunday, 21 odd hours after I started it. Awesome game. I’ve been a fan of the Onimusha series since its first appearance and Dawn of Dreams doesnt disappoint. A completely new take on the Onimusha game play and elements, Dawn of Dreams does just enough to retain some elements of familiarity to make this a sure fire hit with open-minded fans. The introduction of an AI controlled partner brings a breath of fresh air to the game and really allows a person to adapt their strategies according to their strengths or weaknesses.
As always there are tons of boss fights, and basically if youre not going to pay attention youre going to be doing a lot of dying. Thank goodness for a great checkpoint system at last!
As in all Onimusha games, the cutscenes are well done, the character models are beautifully detailed, the environments are diverse and well created and the soundtrack is awesome.
In case you don’t get it yet. This is a GOOD game. Dont pass it up!
