Ouchie. My body is a little stiff and sore this morning. Now that May 26 has been confirmed as the WP Kyokushin Karate Knockdown Tournament date, training is stepping up just a little. Three weeks is not a very long time to go.
We did a bit of conditioning work last night which is probably much needed. While taking blows to the upper chest isnt a problem, nor are any of the limbs, it would seem my soft, wobbly underbelly isnt all that keen on it just yet. And now that I’ve resigned myself to taking part in the open category (all due to the fact that I now admit to not having the self control necessary to lose weight by eating better), I’m going to have to pack on some extra padding quickly :) Hmm…chocolate.
So Ryan, start getting your cameraman skills up to scratch. I’m going to need a video post for my blog.
