Basic .NET is very flexible with regards to its date/time functions and functionality. Displaying or using the date/time in a format you wish to force upon the system is a fairly easy thing to do, most commonly achieved by using the Format(object, expression) functionality provided by Visual Basic .NET

Today I was searching for the switch to display split seconds in my formatted time string and I came across a great listing of all the DateTime format specifiers available to the system.
