Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you liefie! – (Did I mention the fact that I want to thank you yet love?)
Boy, was I in for a big surprise last night! I knew that Chantelle had organised for me to stay away from home a little later so that she could surprise me with a home-cooked supper after work, but I didnt know what else she had in store for me. In fact, I would never, ever have guessed it!
Everyone who knows me knows that I am a neat and tidy person by nature, just not a clean freak. My flat is living testament to that. Whilst everything is packed away and on its place, there are parts of the flat that even daylight cant penetrate anymore thanks to the thick layers of grime covering them. I haven’t cleaned the flat properly since I moved in, and that is a good three or four years ago, so you can imagine the state of it. After all, my form of cleaning is wiping down the really visible parts for five minutes and then going to watch television for ten. I’ve never, ever even thought of moving any of the appliances or furniture around!
Well, I was wondering why C was so quiet all day, and when I stepped into my home I immediately knew why. The place was sparkling spotless. She had spent the entire day scrubbing, rearranging and cleaning my place, so much so that when I walked in I literally felt a little disorientated because I knew there was something different about the place but I couldnt quite place it. It was that clean! I cannot imagine the elbow grease she had to go through to get the place looking this good.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart Chantelle, because I really, really didnt expect this and I really, really appreciate it (except maybe for the inclusion of a funny aerosol spray thingie in the bathroom – Ill still have to get used to that :P).
Oh, and to top it all off, she prepared the most succulent Roast Chicken with veggies that I’ve had in a long, long time, complete with garlic rolls and a special choccie for desert.
Am I the luckiest man on the planet or what? :D
