I am a little on the ‘cheap’ side of the fence when it comes to buying things, something Chantelle doesn’t quite seem to share with me. As she firmly believes, you have to pay a little more to get the best and that the one thing you must never skimp on is your set of kitchen knives. This is of utmost importance to her but to me a knife block is a knife block – until I saw this beauty!
Some things are simply designed to be cool and this kitchen accessory is most certainly one of those items. This macabre Voodoo Knife Block is designed by Raffaele Iannello and is probably one of the few items I wouldn’t argue against purchasing if Chantelle ever picked it up off the shop’s shelf in admiration.
As far as I know, it retails for about R600 locally, but it does come with a pretty decent set of high quality Molybdenum and Vanadium Stainless Steel knives which justifies the price just a little. It comes in fingerprint-showing silver and funky red as well, but I feel that it is the plain old black version that shows off its twisted character the most!
