It was a fun morning yesterday for the two of us as I was sitting frantically trying to get everything on the server back up and running after finally fixed my PHP installation late last night and Chantelle got to sleep in a little later thanks to being on late shift for the day. Lucky bugger!

Anyway, eventually she managed to roll out of bed and after a wake-up cup of coffee and a quick hello, she hopped into the shower to get ready for work. She had graciously offered to let me shower first, so I was back in my office working away when I heard a shriek and then a desperate shout of “Oh no!!” coming from the bathroom.

Monday afternoon when I arrived home from work I arrived to a flat without any water. It looked as if they were working on the complex and had to shut down the water for the duration of their work because just an hour or so later the water was running freely again. But as Chantelle found out first hand, it looked as if they weren’t quite finished with their work yet! :)

So there stood my soapy liefie with conditioner on her hair and nowhere to turn (for some reason the geyser was already drained), eventually accepting defeat and asking me to get the last supply of water that we had in the house – namely the 2 litres of cold water we keep in the fridge for drinking purposes! I tried to warm it a little by adding the last little bit of warm water that was in the kettle, but by now you all know where this little story is heading – I can’t help but chuckle at the shrieks of freezing terror that escaped out of that bathroom :)

Maybe next time she should borrow some of the fishes’ water?
