If you cast your mind all the way back to March, you might remember my letter faxed off to the traffic department in the hopes of getting my big speeding fine reduced.
Well if you can’t remember, I don’t blame you – I had forgotten about it too.
However, last week I received some post which served to remind me about it all over again. And although not quite the reduction I would have liked, the person in charge of this sort of thing was kind enough to knock R220 off the original R600 fine, meaning I now only owe the traffic department R380.
Better than nothing I suppose, but definitely worth the effort of churning out a single letter! :)
