We’ve certainly enjoyed watching the Lourensford Market experience grow and blossom over the years, and in its current form it really is one of the best market experiences around, swirling together good food stalls, interesting craft vendors, live entertainment, an informal but incredibly comfortable venue, and of course a stunning site and landscape backdrop.
Situated on the always evolving, incredibly manicured and picturesque Lourensford wine estate in Somerset West, the Lourensford Market runs over just about the whole weekend, with its big market days taking place over both Saturday and Sunday, and during summer, its Friday evening twilight market experience.
I’ve been hammering away at painting our new house’s interior since the beginning of January, so I haven’t enjoyed much R&R since then considering that Monday to Friday is spent behind the keyboard for my day job and then weekends are consumed by rollers, brushes, paint, and ladder time. Still, we did make time to slip out to catch at least one of these magical twilight market experiences, and as always the market just didn’t disappoint. We browsed, we ate, we vibed, and the girls even did a little dancing on stage.
Always a super enjoyable family experience!
