The Art of Hinting General Nonsense 13 AUG 2007

Sometimes it is kind of difficult to say something to a person without offending them. It’s not that the comment is malicious or nasty per say, it is just that you wish to highlight something to them – make it a little clearer that we are noticing a problem that you seem to be ignoring.

So in line with this thinking, one has to come up with a subtle art of hinting about these things – unobtrusively of course. For example, should your friend’s flat suffer from a bit of an unsightly roach infestation, why not go over for a cup of tea and take some cake along with you.

The cake pictured below should be perfect (and you wouldn’t even have to say a word).

The Roaches are Toast! My Life 12 JUN 2007

shit we're toast cartoonI’ve changed my mind on the Doom Fogger effectiveness after checking out my flat late last night. Around 23:00 the mini buggers are usually active in the kitchen sniffing about for food crumbs and any other treats they can sink their disgusting little mandibles into. But last night was different. I couldn’t find a single active pest, which can only lead me to believe that contrary to my earlier beliefs, the Doom Fogger was in fact rather successful.

Now all I can hope is that I don’t accidentally discover their mass grave – I’m hoping they all buggered off and died at my neighbour’s place :)

(Now I must remember to do it in a couple of weeks again so as to break their breeding cycle and then I’ll be completely sorted!)
